SOLILOQUY OF A POET -----BY YAHAYA HABEEB KAYODE JAYPEE-D-POET

When i wana be a bit realistic
I study the world’s statistics
Then i become sadistic
When i discover wars ruin the worlds
And scarced are those who utter just words

Somtimes i become stabbed by its knife
When I wonder how we strive
To establish peace and love in people's lives
But our logistics failed us
And we live like people, cursed

Somtimes i feel like i am empty
I Ruminate about life zipping from a cup of tea
Why does money makes us mad
Why do we relish doing bad
Why have we lost our happiness and now we are sad
I just don't know
How i wish we grow

I've heard about wars and commotion
I've Read about lack of integration
I've Watched news where leaders dine and wine with corruption
And claims the youth is the light of the nation
This is a catastrophe which the world should shun

I cry somtimes and my ecstasy disappears
When i watch tv and see the victims of war who has lost their ears
Some linger in despair
Some are innocently daggered or speared

It is getting worsen day by day
February's crisis was diminutive but gigantic was may
We now make wars while the sun shines its rays
Instead of making productive hays
It saddens me, it kills my joy
It burdens me that lives are now toys
All in the name of politics
We have ceased to be humanistic

I tend my hands in sombreness to God
For He only can protect the cord
That joins humanity together in unity
May He erodes our enmity
And give us the gift of amity
That we face His reality
