When you're travelling from Ilorin to Ibadan or Lagos, there is this particular place in Oyo where drivers stop by for recess. The moment drivers slow down, there is this troop of roadside hawkers and petty traders who will suddenly file around the car/bus like escorts. When the car eventually stops, they sometimes will open the doors if it could be opened from the outside, but if it's a bus, they will wait for driver to open the door.. Then they will exhibit their commodities, trying to outshine their counterparts with compelling advert lines.
"alakara gbona re o( beanscake vendor is here) , dodo-kire wa o ebamira (ikire special plantain is available, please patronise me) fresh bread 🍞.. Etc oni wara re o (chese seller is here o)
Some of the passengers will alight from the car/bus to get edibles from other shops nearby while others will patronize the hawkers from within the car.
Some passengers will amaze you when they order almost everything each hawkers sell and they begin to munch and drink instantly.
When the recess is over and the bus continues its journey, sometimes pungent odours in different flavours from anonymous farts begin to render the air polluted. The category of passengers that munch everything they buy e.g eggs, akara, bread, yoghurt, dodo, chese, oyo purewater etc.always become the main suspects of the anonymous farts, Eventhough, they might not be the "farter".
It might as well be the one person that only bought pure water (sachet water) who had farted.
